I had a similar experience with activist activities at the UofN Pietermaritzberg.

Had not  heard of Mark Behr mainly because I try not to care and am long gone so to say.

Anyhow I googled him and found the following wiki  piece (treat with care) and don&#039;t know how true it is.

From your description of him it seems that not only was he confused about his political allegiances but this may well have been aggravated by his confusion over his sexual identity. 

I like giving people the benefit of the doubt and forgiveness is paramount (even to our racist South African parents?) but I must say I find it hard to warm to the likings of the Behrs of this world who seem to end up with the air of respectability - he was old enough to have known better.

Yeah - follow the money - he must have done it for the money - just as people were taking parachute lessons at John Voster square without a parachute.</description>
