I was there too, covering for Business Day. You can read my take at www.sgbarber.com/seattle.html. I hope to meet Dennis George on Monday. As you probably know he is coming to New York with a Millennium Labour Council delegation led by Zweli Vavi and Bobby Godsell. To judge by the Sptitzer affair, the price of hookers has gone up since 1999. Drop me a line. Cheers.

AA:

A little aside to that. Those odds, randomly, are something like 14000:1, so I would either swear off gambling and never step into a gaming room, or make it your new career.

Take your pick...

Yeow, AA.

Why in pluperfect hell did you have to pick the ONE day in Seattle that we had a violent protest since the '60s?

That, I hate to say, is very, VERY bad timing...

Thanks again for yet another sip o' humor after another sordid day blogging on Swampland. It is TRULY nasty out there, as you saw.

Read your piece on your dad too. It is hard for me to say anything other than it made my problems look a tiny bit smaller.

Combine the two, and I'm up and ready again...

You watch the space, SA will be a better place with Zuma as a president than Thabo. We first have to solve internal problems than paying attention to foreigners like you. You are a foreigner now. Abelungu have the option of going to where they come from and, unlike us Abantu, we are stuck here and we have to make our country work. We do not have reletives outside the country. We would not have voted him into power if we thought otherwise. By the way i am highly educated, i can work anywhere in the world. Enjoy USA.
