Boet, you know and I know that water is not the only problem we have here in SA. I heard a song today (going around in London and who knows where else!!) making fun of our electricity situation. We heard today that loadshedding is starting again tomorrow (this time 4 hours at a time). I can see our economy is going to come crashing down. Small businesses cannot survive anymore and ESKOM executives gets millions in bonusses (performance bonusses!!!!!!!!!) And water restrictions is on its way again. Do you have an outside room that we (My family and I) can come stay in???

Interesting post, mate. I'd read a little about FLOW somewhere, all of it positive. It's good to hear a more critical perspective.

You make a good point about the under-representation of local voices. I've recently been watching some short films by IRIN - about life in slums and the challenges of peace in Uganda - and they feature locals a lot more than this film seems to. Also, a doco by Saul Landau about peoples' struggles in the Americas didn't feature a single white face.

Can't beat films made by the people involved in the struggle, of course. Perhaps you know of some films like that which are being produced in South Africa or elsewhere.
