This amazing woman was in my life for a mere year – but what en effect she had! I am crying, but only for selfish reasons .. she is no longer with us and I wanted her to be here. Wanted her to see my little one grow up and be a grandma to yet another little soul. That is what makes me sad.

But what makes me happy is, that she is probably … well no … Definitely sitting on the Lord’s lap, holding his hand – keeping an eye out for all of us, and smiling and laughing all the way. No more pain, no more fear and suffering. Just love, love and more love.

AA, what a magnificent tribute! I too lost a dear friend just before the new year on Monday. He was a mentor and something of a father figure in my life. He was a teacher, but so much more. He had many of the qualities you talked about and made a huge difference in the lives of so many. I think that your mom and my friend had to go now to help watch over us because God needs them now. Thanks for sharing your memories with all of us in such a loving memorial.
