@holeycheese - Snow in Sweden? That isn't snow! It's ice! Haha! I love it. And my kids can't wait for it.

@Caroline - Yeah! Or Canada...

@Keven (53_3) - Lesson one of snow... Never eat the yellow snow...

@sahlah - Pleasure! See? I'm not always a downer!

@Sherry - Sorry! I guess that means you are off the slopes?

@India J - Oh, but Christman in France. You are lucky. Thise markets. The wine. I miss that. And it means someone else is shoveling the snow when I am on holiday over there.

@Amber - And have you realized how crap the UK snow is? Especially when you are naked. I mean...

Same as above, thanks for the giggle..!

Except, it's OK to giggle now... but I hadn't seen snow either until I was 15yrs old (when we had a family holiday in Switzerland (I remember it so well - the cries of joy, the incomprehension, the cold, the freezing cold..!) on our way back to UK to spend the Christmas Hols. with my British G'pa & G'ma) - my kids, born in the N. hemisphere dream of a Christmas in the Tropics..!
I guess "The grass is always greener on the side" as they say..!

It's all very well seeing beautiful snowfall on a Christmas card - it's quite another having to deal with the daily constraints of having to practically dig our way out of the house & home every morning..!

Great post, as always..:)

We don't have that kind of snow here, most of the time. It's usually that heavy slushy stuff. You know, the kind that gets piled up in greyish white mounds on the sides of the road and only serves to fence in all the water?

That kind.

But there are some days we get that really nice stuff that doesn't immediately degenerate into a slushy mess, and it's those days a love.

Everything is muffled like a blanket, people are freindlier, and best of all, it's easy to spot where the dog went...
