Saffer emailed me these photos. Taken by someone waiting for Obama to come and speak after being elected President of the United States of America. And then he saw this little interaction. Just kids. Kids… Or, in the words of Saffer… We can learn so much from them.
I hope we will all reach out a little. Just do it. No need to think it through. Like these kids. They just did what came naturally when no one was watching. Kids…

Oh, how I love these photos! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!
And did I mention how much I LOVE these photos????? I mean really … I LOVE them!
A new day is dawning and oh how proud I am!
I was born and raised in the deep South, and as much as I hate to admit such, a majority of my extended family is indeed prejudice. Such is a course that I have always tried to reverse in raising my own children! I want my children to grow up as loving, accepting, open-minded individuals.
I am so proud of this moment in American history … for our nation to have just elected the first African American President … WOW! WOW! WOW!

Hmmm . . . Isn’t that the truth? Just reach out.

This picture is the epitome of what this symbolizes… on so many levels…. kids are always truthful, and act from the heart….
Thank you so much for sharing this, my friend….

Wow. Captured being human in the humblest and highest ways.
And it is the children who lead the way.

That sequence shows such community. Not only the kids, but the parents. The last picture shows the dads looking kindly upon each other. Great images for how we need to be living.

One of the reasons I wanted that photo of the African kid for my desktop is that I can indeed learn from them.
After all, take a closer look at this kid:
He’s dressed in rags. But did you notice that they are clean ?
He is in good health, active, and clearly takes care of himself.
When I look at that picture, I realize that even though I’m 54, this kid is older than I am!
No, I’m not kidding. It is obvious to me that he inherently knows that happiness is in the mind and the heart only and you don’t need a thing to be happy!
He knows something I havn’t yet learned!
Cost of the photo?
Maybe a buck…
The inspiration:
Priceless!

I wonder what the world would look like when angryafrican lost his anger
Would he continue to blog???
Anyway, here’s another good one about kids and Obama:

On the other hand, here in Monmouth County New Jersey, the Republicans told the kids that Obama would abolish Christmas and that Obama would make children come to school on weekends. And that is why McCain won in school straw polls.

@samboerou – Yes! You said it!
@Fitch – Isn’t it great to throw down the chains? And just be free? Hell yeah!
@SanityFound – That was my reaction as well!
@Dr. Ethiopia – Here we are. Thinking. And they just do.
@vanessaleighsblog – Don’t we just learn more and more from them each day?
@ilovemylife – Hopefully all of us will follow.
@isha akula – Yes!
@BlackWomenBlowTheTrumpet – Ouch!
@Jan – That was the first thing I noticed. The dads.
@Keven (53_3) – Yes. I wish I had a photo of myself like this when I was young.
@Arun – Oh… The anger will be there! See my next post!

It was the same mentality that got Obama elected. Hopefully we’ll see more of it.
