Come on! I worked my BUTT off trying to make my blog pretty and not one single person even commented on how pretty it is… (Only compliments please…) You cut me deep. Real deep. Oh the pain! Oh the humility! Oh the… Hum… (Get a grip AA.)
(Let’s try begging.) Big please… Pretty please… Must I beg? A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a comment! I will now curl up and suck my thumb… No! I will hold my breath until someone comments on how pretty it is.
…
I’m waiting…
…
Still waiting…
…
Mmm… (Blackmail.)
Okay then… Do it or I tell them. I will tell everyone. You know I will. And you know what I am talking about… Oh, I will. Just try me…
…
&%$#*! (It’s not working!)
…
Come on! I know you want to do it. I know you can. There you go… Slowly now… Put your fingers on the keyboard… That’s right… Slowly now… Now hit the button! Do it! Do it! Be Nike and just do it!
<Sob!> I haven’t cried like this since Liverpool lost the finals…
(This should do it. I know this will work.)
Comment or pull my finger! The choice is yours. And remember that the consequences of this “no comment” stand of yours will be on your head. Think of the children. The poor little children…

Honestly, do you like the new look?

I love it, it’s both zingy and cheery, like you!
January 26, 2009 at 9:27 am

Angry –
It’s a little more feminine – softer… a little bit Pottery Barn – which doesn’t exactly scream “angry african” to me. It’s pretty, sure… if that’s what you’re going for.
One little thing – the blog name and subhead over Mr. Africaface is a little touch to read – you may want to put a little drop shadow behind it, or change the text to white.
Hope you’re doing well dude.
January 26, 2009 at 9:41 am
it look amazing – you work so hard and I read your posts all the time – I would love to meet you as you seem like an incredible person!
Keep up the great work – looks beautiful…
January 26, 2009 at 9:43 am
Firs tell me that you are an Orlando Pirates fan (being a Liverpool fan it should follow)then I’ll say I like it. Seriously, but for the picture of NM, it’s cool.
January 26, 2009 at 11:03 am

January 26, 2009 at 12:14 pm
Yea, okey.
January 26, 2009 at 12:24 pm
You know what would look awesome in the header? A tiger…
January 26, 2009 at 12:47 pm
Love it!
January 26, 2009 at 1:16 pm
I love it!
But I was just about to leave a comment saying that I didn’t like it coz the first time I ‘arrived’ the header was just plain green with nothing on it.
Went away to check if it was my browser and came back to find a beautiful colourful header with my favourite eyes and more!
Well done.

Very tidy, boet.
January 26, 2009 at 4:44 pm
looks like shite. stick to writing. too cluttered. I come only to the blog. WTF is a reader?
By the bye, did you see Sixty Six? What a friggin great movie. Makes me wish I liked football. It’s a great pick you up movie. Maybe you should see it since your site looks so crappy now. hahahahhahaha
January 26, 2009 at 7:32 pm
Looks good. I especially like the collage in the banner.
January 26, 2009 at 10:03 pm
I love it and I don’t even know what it looked like before…I was so impressed with your comment on Bernos I followed your link here and already I’m hooked.

@NinaOdell – I’m zingy and cheery! Thanks!
@Freetobe – Welcome back! And thanks! I’ll breathe now…
@Hollywood – Oh, thanks! I would like some ice with that burn thank you! That tiger idea is brilliant! Next to McCain!
@Sabine – Thank you! And if you are ever in the Boston area let me know. A coffee?
@MoAfrika – Hum… Well… I used to be a Seven Stars fan and then a Cape Town Spurs fan. Now? Well… I have to be Ajax doesn’t it. But in all honesty, it just doesn’t feel right without my old boys… But I have another favourite team as well. Anyone that beats Chiefs! Go Pirates!
@paisley – Thanks! I forgot about that. Thanks for coming over though! And as long as you continue to give me uphill if I go overboard!
@thatdudeyouknow – Typical… Few words… But then, you think accounting is exciting! Ouch! Thanks dude!
@Johanna – Thanks! I worked my butt off on getting it done!
@Caroline – Thanks! I also realized that the header takes longer to load. I’ll check what I can do about that. But the eyes stay!
@Toaf – Thanks mate! Hope you had a great birthday. Maybe a beer? Or two? Or more!
@skid plate – Yeah… Thanks. I play the guitar better than you. Haha! Thanks mate. And thanks for the redo with the Jack/Joe/Whatever McCain face on it!
@Kedda – Thank you! I thought it would be good to bring a few other faces in that expresses some of my thoughts. Good to hear you think it worked. Maybe the pictures are a bit small though?
@Tsion – It just had the eyes. And thanks for the visit. Hope you come back again and that (some of) my readers don’t scare you off. Just ignore Hollywood and Skid. They don’t have a life. (Guys, I hope that burn hurt!)

It rocks my little world!
January 27, 2009 at 10:02 am
@Champagne Heathen – Thanks! But knowing you I don’t know if it is you talking or the stuff you had at De Akker! Haha!
January 27, 2009 at 10:07 am
Hey! A good old bottle of Tassies is a truth serum, I will have you know!
January 27, 2009 at 5:38 pm
Hi Sweetie… I like the header… just make it larger so that its a little more in balance and people can see it a little better. Right now all of your images to the left of the screen look too small and cluttered.
Otherwise… interesting
January 27, 2009 at 8:21 pm
Interesting and must have taken a LONG time. I agree with Amber, but that might be because I have “old” eyes.

I’m making a list of SA Expat blogs. I added you. If you wish to be removed, please let me know.
It is free advertising after all.
January 28, 2009 at 4:16 am
Lol, I also like it
Nice banner at the top. I think you may have inspired me to re-style my blog too…
January 28, 2009 at 11:53 am
Oh, silly sweet cranky persnickity Angry African xo
Your pouting made me giggle!
The site looks great! There ya go. Pull in that pout, now
Just wanted to pop in … It’s been a while … I’ve been pretty limited in bloggy visits lately — am in hospital for the latest layer of healing from lifelong wounds to the soul, mind, and brain … Never allowed myself to do this before — to be admitted to such a place … So here I am and there you are on the other side of the world and I’m sending friendly thoughts to one of my bloggy pals and your beautiful family xoxo
January 28, 2009 at 12:22 pm
Okay, I admit it, it was the first time in months that I didn’t check the blog daily. I was overwhelmed with work and school. So what happens, I click the bookmark and a whole new blog pops up… I had to double check the URL to make sure I was in the right place! but yes, the new look is lovely, although as you know I LOVE the old image so I’m glad you did not retire it completely…Keep on blogging dude, you make my day!
January 28, 2009 at 12:29 pm
Lol you’re funny, I came here yesterday started typin then got a back massage by my 7 year old slave then told by the five year old that the kids in her class still don’t laugh when she farts or says pull my finger… came back today and the header is changed agains
What I was saying yesterday is that I like the emotive style that you have put together but feel that there is something missing – Perhaps it is to do with the theme, if you have the CSS Upgrade with thea black background (not the text part) and change the background colour of the navigation bar to something more solid in colour it will make your incredible (seriously) banner stand out more and have a greater impact.
Commenting on a post like this is catch 22 because we all have personal tastes and thoughts versus who you are as a person and content. If you’re happy with it and it fits your view of your blog then we are all happy cause you are happy see
If you want to kill me you know my mail addie *runs for hills then realises there aren’t any in the dam*
January 28, 2009 at 5:09 pm
I like it….but I liked it before.
January 29, 2009 at 1:48 am
Great post. I’m living in oil country and here they tend to attack mother nature with all their fury.
Anyway, they say one of the best ways to be eco friendly is to buy local products. They weren’t shipped and transported for thousands of kilometers.
January 29, 2009 at 3:42 pm
love, love, love it…!
I haven’t a clue – I wish I had – how to even go about re-styling my blog…
All the same, it’s the content not the packaging, that keeps us all (I’m sure) coming back for more – in my case, all the way from the French Alps..!!!!
Hope you’re all thriving..:)

Looks fine to me, but then I didn’t see it before….(i found it quite by accident, is this called trespassing?)
